Junior League - U6 to U14 (Saturdays)
March 24, 2012 - May 5, 2012
4 v 4 ($250/team) and 5 v 5 ($325/team)

Games will be scheduled Saturday mornings as early as 8:00 am and Saturday afternoons. The league fee iincludes the following:

  • 6 weeks of games PLUS season ending tournament on May 5, 2012.
  • U6 to U8 play three 10-minute periods with a 2-minute break between each period; 10 yards by 20 yards field (volleyball court); 4 v 4 - no goalie and coaches self-ref games.
  • U9 to U14 play three 12-minute periods with a 2-minute break between each period; 25 yards by 22 yard field; 5 v 5 ; 1 ref provided.
  • Roster size is 6 to 10 players.
  • No scheduled practice time and must supply own coach. Fields will be available to rent for league rate of $25/hour upon request.
  • Awards will be given to Division winners.

Junior Soccer Lessons
 

We offer private or group lessons scheduled at the mutual convenience of you and our instructor. The lesson will be geared toward each individual's specific goal. You can choose the skill(s) you want the instructor to emphasize. Before your lesson, think about and discuss your specific goals wth the instructor so he will be able to structure the time accordingly. The more you think about what you want to get out of a lesson, the more you will benefit from it.

Tournament Format:

  • Each division will finish the tournament in 1 day. Initial tournament schedule should be available by February 28, 2012. Guaranteed at least 3 games. Round robin pool play followed by single elimination play-off bracket. We will take at least 4 teams to the playoff bracket based on results in pool. Awards will be presented to division winners.
  • Expected game durations as follows: U6-U8 - two 10-minute periods for pool and bracket play; U9-U10 - three 9-minute periods for pool and bracket play; U11-U18 - three 10-minute periods for pool and bracket play. All have two minute rests between each period.
  • Pitch area will be 10 yards by 20 yards for U6-U8; all others 25 yards x 33 yards. 
  • Roster size is between 6 and 8 players. Non-sanctioned event so guest release forms are not required.

Pool standings will be based on the following:

Win – 6 points; Tie – 3 points; Loss – 0 points

One (1) point per goal scored up to a maximum of three (3) per game (win, tie, or lose) and one (1) point for a shutout. A 0-0 score counts as
four (4) points for each team (3 for the tie and 1 for the shutout). Total points ties will be resolved by the following tie-breakers, in order:


1. Head to Head of two teams (disregard if more than two teams tied);
2. Team with highest goal differential per match up to three (3) goals, positive only;
3. Total goals scored;
4. Least goals allowed;
5. If still tied, Tournament Director may elect to determine winner by penalty kicks

Playoff games finishing in a tie go into a round of 5 penalties. If after 5 penalties there is still a tie, sudden death – 1 for 1 until a winner is determined.
